The problem with a self “defense “ approach

Most systems take the approach that the attack is already upon you. Okay they say and this is the solution. If in your mind the attack is imminent and you feel threatened, why wait. Having said that, some knowledge of improvised weapons can be quite helpful. Think in simple terms. What is the goal?  The goal is to survive. Objects such as pencils, pens and keys can be used to strike at throat, eyes, temple, etc. they can also be used to strike at limbs. Rocks make excellent beaters. Dirt or sand as well as drinks thrown at the face can facilitate your escape.

Basically use some common sense.  Virtually anything you can pick up can help in a serious altercation.

Finally commit aggressively to the actions (solutions) you use when encountered with a  violent situation.
